Screening is not emergency care.
SKIDS content, screening reports, app views, Reading Room essays, and school-health workflows support pediatric care. They do not replace a pediatrician's clinical judgment or urgent medical evaluation.

Educational and screening support
Information on SKIDS websites and apps is provided for education, screening support, care coordination, and parent guidance. It should not be used as the sole basis for diagnosis or treatment.
When to seek urgent care
If a child has severe pain, breathing difficulty, altered consciousness, seizure, serious injury, dehydration, severe allergic reaction, high-risk fever, rapidly worsening symptoms, or any other urgent concern, seek emergency medical care immediately.
Pediatric review
Screening findings may require pediatric review, repeat assessment, diagnostic testing, allied input, specialist referral, or follow-up. A normal screening result does not rule out every condition.
School and app workflows
School screening and digital reports help bring missed signals into view. They are not a substitute for direct medical care when a child is unwell or when a clinician recommends further evaluation.
